Our frame and truss promise

15 Feb 2016, Featured, Product Focus

PlaceMakers Frame and Truss knows how important it is to have your frame and truss on time

You might have spotted your operator’s smiling face on the outside of your PlaceMakers store; it’s all about service.

PlaceMakers is 100% committed to its Customer Service Promise – “no one is easier to do business with than PlaceMakers” – and that includes its frame and truss service.

“In response to extensive research into our customers’ wants and needs, we’ve developed a customer service proposition that reflects the feedback we received,” says general manager operations and marketing Gary Woodhouse.

“We’ve made a number of business improvements to enable us to deliver these promises, and we’re confident in our ability.”

This includes the promise to deliver builders their frame and truss order within the agreed time or pay the builder $200 per day.

“This promise is a reflection of our confidence and commitment,” says frame and truss national manager Robert Grimmer. “It’s just another way for us to ensure that we achieve our goal, which is to deliver tradespeople value for money and save them time on assembly.”

Why PlaceMakers Frame & Truss?

A member of the Frame and Truss Manufacturers Association, PlaceMakers is committed to delivering the highest standard of timber framing in New Zealand. This includes a number of value-adds, such as:

  • Frames that are clearly marked and stacked in sequence (where possible), depending on load efficiency, site requirements and health and safety.
  • Colour-coded and waterproof truss plans are matched by truss coding to make placement on site easier.
  • Wall junctions are marked on plates.
  • Galvanised nails for any H3.2 CCA walls are provided.
  • Ease of interior and exterior lining due to our consistent timber gauge. PlaceMakers only uses stress-graded, NZ-grown timber from reputable suppliers.
  • All trusses are supported by producer, design and manufacturing statements as required by NZS3604:2011.
  • The ability to provide technical support in detailing.
  • Courtesy cuts (undercut) doorways on bottom plates.
  • Experienced site support.
  • The flexibility to meet demand, thanks to our national network of eight plants.

These are just some of the value-adds offered by PlaceMakers Frame and Truss plants. To find out more, talk to your local PlaceMakers store.
