Don’t miss the upcoming round of PlaceMakers skills maintenance seminars for Licensed Building Practitioners – coming to six centres nationwide in June and July! 

With such a high volume of regulatory changes to stay up to speed with, PlaceMakers remains committed to ensuring LBPs are equipped to do just that.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the line-up for our upcoming skills maintenance seminars, which offer an in-person opportunity to get across the latest industry developments. 

Covering key Building Code updates, alongside business management tips, attending these two-hour sessions counts towards your skills maintenance points. 

Each session features two speakers with related quizzes – and also provides a chance to catch up and enjoy some food and refreshments with other Licensed Building Practitioners (LBPs). 

 Who should attend the skills maintenance seminars? 

All LBPs, those who have applied for a licence and PlaceMakers customers are welcome to attend. The session is relevant for all licence classes, including brick and block layers, roofers and plasterers. You are also welcome to bring your apprentices, who won’t be earning points but would still benefit from understanding the wider industry and the realities of owning a building business! 

How many LBP points do I earn for attending? 

Each seminar is approximately two hours long, which will count towards your required hours of elective learning. How many elective hours you require depends on your licence class. 

What if I haven’t got my licence yet? 

If you’ve applied for your licence, or are thinking about becoming licensed, you are welcome to attend PlaceMakers skills maintenance seminars; however, you must be licensed before you can start earning points.
