A site to call your own

Ever wondered what the licensed building practitioner (LBP) board does, where you’re registered or how to record your learning online? Now you can find most of your answers in one place, at www.lbp.govt.nz.

The new website, launched in July, covers everything from the LBP rules and legislation, to record keeping and auditing, to handling complaints. While the majority of the content is aimed at LBPs, there’s also some information for potential clients to help them understand the importance of hiring an LBP.

The website also has links to the LBP online system where you can update your contact details, fill out your skills maintenance diary and get re-licensed.
