PAC relaunch opens new opportunities for apprentices

31 Oct 2025, PlaceMakers News

PlaceMakers has relaunched its PlaceMakers Apprentice Crew (PAC) programme, offering updated discounts, starter kits, partner perks and learning resources to help new tradies get underway on site

PAC is designed to provide targeted support and value to apprentices through local branches and online tools. Once signed up, apprentices receive a PAC welcome pack from their local PlaceMakers branch, which includes a welcome letter, membership card and heaps of free merchandise.

“We are so thrilled to be supporting our apprentices again with this re-vamped programme,” says PlaceMakers Brand and Loyalty Manager Claire Warin. “Our builders have told us that supporting young talent is key to the success of the building industry, and we are committed to playing our part in that.”

The PAC membership card gives members access to apprentice only pricing in branch. For online purchases, members are encouraged to activate their account through Groupgate – a platform that unlocks digital access to PAC discounts and deals.

Tool deals and partner pricing trade offers

PAC members can access discounted pricing on selected gear through PlaceMakers, including three-piece apprentice combo kits from Makita, Milwaukee and Hikoki. A Toolware toolbelt starter kit is also available at a reduced apprentice rate.

These offers are exclusive to PAC members and are budget friendly options for getting started with essential tools.

The relaunched PAC programme also includes new offers from selected partners. These include exclusive discounts for Les Mills, Jetts Fitness and Skinny Mobile.

The programme is expected to expand with more partner benefits added over time.

Learning support and updates

PAC members will also receive fortnightly email updates featuring the latest deals, product tips and industry news. The emails will link to PlaceMakers Know How — an online hub offering product information and learning resources tailored to tradies.

Know How supports PlaceMakers goal of helping tradies stay up to speed and developing their skills. In an industry that’s always evolving, staying informed is essential – and relying on your boss to pass everything on isn’t always enough. PAC helps apprentices keep up with law changes, industry updates and smarter ways of working. The education component supports PlaceMakers’ goal of helping members grow their skills on the job, and eventually work towards becoming a Licensed Building Practitioner if desired.

Signing up is free. Once registered, members can:

The relaunched PAC programme reflects PlaceMakers’ ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of builders – providing early access to tools, training and trade networks.
