The Hurricanes have had a fantastic season and are looking to become the first-ever team to bring the Super Rugby title to the capital. Up the line, the Chiefs have compiled the second-highest points total of any team, but are fourth overall because of the conference system.

No matter what happens in the coming weeks, it’s bound to be a cracker when these two teams meet for the second time in the final round. The Highlanders and Crusaders also have play-off aspirations, and there is sure to be plenty of jostling for the wildcard spots.

It’s been an interesting season for the men in red and black, with injuries hampering their chase for an eighth Super Rugby championship. They stepped up in their final home game of the season though, farewelling many All Blacks and Canterbury legends Richie McCaw and Dan Carter in style in his 136th appearance for the side.

They ran in eight tries to win 58-17, handing the Reds their ninth loss of the season.
