Builders get the red carpet treatment

More than 60 builders willingly traded gumboots for glamour to attend PlaceMakers Whangaporoa’s ‘Night at the movies’ last month.

The branch organised a private showing of The Great Gatsby at the local movie theatre and rolled out the red carpet for tradesmen and their partners to enjoy.

“It was a fantastic turnout and each guest was welcomed with a glass of wine to celebrate the evening,” says JV John Gair. “We encouraged everyone to emulate the movie’s 1920s era and there were some fantastic outfits!”

John, who joined PlaceMakers last year, says hosting events such as this is a great way to show customers how much they’re appreciated.
